Satellites

Picture
Everyone knows that there is space.  Our planet exists in space.  Our sun, our life, and even we exist in space.  One thing, in both the natural and artificial sense, is very important to our survival in space, and that one thing is a satellite.
A satellite is either natural or artificial.  Natural satellites are things that orbit around other objects in space, like earth orbits around the sun.  An artificial satellite still fits this description, but it refers to the satellites we make to take data in space.  Usually, though, when we say satellite we refer to the artificial one.  To take pictures of the earth, moniter any irregularities, and to moniter the weather from above we need these artificial satellites.  We also need natural satellites, because without that the side of the earth that never got any sun at all would be like a gigantic Antartica, and the side that always got sun because it never moved would be like north Africa or the Bahamas all the time.  Because of these two satellites, we can knwo if anything strange happens that we need to be aware of, or even just the weather in the morning.  We will have variety in the weather, rather than jsut have a desert and iceland right by each other.  So, they are both very important in this sense.
Artificial satelliets aren't as simple as natural satellites, though.  They can crash into each other, they have specific makeups, and even have names for the patterns in which they flow.  Though, those facts by themselves are pretty simple.  Their makeups are simply an antenna and a power source, for example.  They can point it out at space to try and discover something new, or point it at earth to get fast and easy information.  Their power source is merely whatever powers it to do so.  Even though the satellites are always put into an orbit made to avoid other satellites, sometimes it changes and accidentally rams into another one.  Their orbits are called "geostationary" and "polar".  A geostationary satellite travels from east to west, and a polar satellite travels from north to south.  Though not as simple as merely being in orbit like a natural satellite, they are still pretty simple by themselves.
By doing all these things, satellites make our lief simpler and easier.  Without natural satellites, our earth would be out of wack.  So, overall, satellites are very important to us after all.
